Panyaden, Grace and SBS can appear together on a Hang Dong-area shortlist, but they answer different family questions. Panyaden makes English/Thai integration and Buddhist-informed sustainability part of its identity. Grace is an explicitly Christian, American K–12 school with published language and admissions rules. SBS offers a Cambridge international track alongside a separate bilingual program on one campus. Compare the child’s daily language, values and next-school pathway before comparing the headline tuition.

Panyaden’s official 2026/27 fee PDF is now current. It includes materials, meals and most trips; EAL/TAL, uniforms, clubs, learning support and IB examinations may be extra. Grace’s published number is tuition, not a promise that first-year cost ends there. SBS has a current official 2026/27 fee PDF; ask what applies to the specific SBS or SIBS track.
Language and values are daily choices
Panyaden’s official primary-years information says English is the main language for integrated subjects while some specialist subjects are taught in Thai, with EAL/TAL support assessed separately. That is a real bilingual/Thai-integration choice, not an English-only international-school promise. Ask how much Thai your child will use in the intended year, what support is recommended and whether support carries an additional fee.
Grace’s official admissions material describes an American curriculum, Christian mission and English-proficiency expectations. Families should ask how the biblical worldview appears in the ordinary school day and whether it fits their home. Grace is not simply the “low-cost” option: its faith environment, admissions timing and possible first-year extras are part of the decision.
SBS needs one clarification before a fair comparison: the campus houses an international Cambridge pathway and SIBS, a bilingual Cambridge pathway. Ask which program the place is for, which languages are used in the child’s classes, what the upper-secondary route is, and whether the published fee applies to that program. The distinction matters more than a campus-level label.
Commute and availability can outweigh the table
All three schools sit in the Hang Dong orbit, but “near Hang Dong” is not a school-day travel plan. Compare the route from the home you would actually rent or buy, at pickup time, and include siblings, work and after-school activities. Nam Phrae, Harn Kaew and Ban Waen are close enough to belong in one search but not identical for every family’s morning.
Grace’s official page currently says 2026/27 enrollment is complete, while future-year inquiries are open. That makes timing a first-order constraint. Panyaden and SBS should be contacted for the child’s year group and intended start date; a school that looks ideal on paper is not an actionable option without a place. Use the Hang Dong neighborhood guide alongside the school shortlist.
What the public parent discussion actually supports
Panyaden’s 2018–2024 community reviews include eight self-described parents among ten distinct writers. Praise concerns children enjoying school, teaching and the environment. A 2024 middle-school parent describes an accessible principal. Some accounts reappear on other directories; that repetition is not additional evidence. Ask current families how language support and the school’s philosophy work for a child who needs help.
Grace’s 2016–2024 reviews are a small positive mix of parents, alumni, staff and unclear roles. A November 2024 parent describes three good years and supportive teachers and friends. The sample cannot establish universal satisfaction. Its faith mission and restricted admissions are material family-fit questions, even when a reviewer values the community.
SBS/SIBS has more visibly mixed feedback. The review page includes ten parents and one student, alongside six other roles. Positive 2022 accounts describe communication and facilities; 2022–2023 criticism raises class-size, teaching and refund questions. In a refund complaint and school response, the school disputes the account and cites its signed withdrawal policy. These historical reports do not establish today’s international track. Request the exact program, class limit and withdrawal terms in writing.
Questions for a useful tour
- Which exact program and year group would the child enter, and what languages would they use each day?
- What are the current application, registration, support, meal, transport, uniform and activity costs?
- For Panyaden, how are Thai, EAL and TAL support assessed and billed?
- For Grace, what are the current English requirements, admissions dates and faith expectations?
- For SBS, is the place in the international SBS track or SIBS bilingual track, and what comes after the current phase?
- What is the school’s smoke-season routine and how is it communicated to families?
- Can the family live with the pickup route from the neighborhood it can afford?
The school matcher can narrow the options by child and family priorities. If school and housing need to be solved together, the Home Finding service connects the campus choice to the neighborhoods and commute that make the decision workable.
