Pa Daet
A riverside southern suburb on the Ping, where daily life runs along the Mahidol Road corridor. Its western edge is unmistakable — the airport, Wing 41, and Central Airport Plaza mark the boundary. The streets behind are a glorious maze with no discernible grid, mixing traditional Thai homes with gated developments, some with enviable river views. Not a walker's neighborhood, but the location is Goldilocks: close to the airport, a quick shot into the Old City or south to Hang Dong, with traffic more manageable than downtown. Central Airport Plaza covers the big shopping, with Lotus's and Makro close by.
