Live showtimes for Major Cineplex at CentralFestival are below. It is the farthest out on the Super Highway but also the largest cinema in the largest mall in Chiang Mai — the most screens, the most showtimes, and the most seating options in the city.
The city’s only kids’ cinema
The standout feature at CentralFestival is the kids’ theater — the only one in Chiang Mai. There is a ball pit, a slide, and a playground built right inside the cinema room. If you have young kids and want to take them to a movie without stressing about them sitting still for two hours, this is the place.
CentralFestival is also home to the city’s IMAX screen, so it is where the big tentpole releases look and sound their best.
Screens, parking and getting there
With the most screens in the city, CentralFestival almost always has the showtime you want, English audio included (look for the "EN" label). Like all three cinemas it plays Hollywood films, though the more artistic and indie titles usually only screen at Maya.
Parking is generally easier here than at the other malls — with one exception: Sunday mornings can be brutal. Any other time you will be fine.
