Chang Khian
Cool, Leafy Foothills Retreat

Chang Khian

A leafy strip running up the Canal Road into the hills on the city's northwest edge, petering out around Oasis Cafe just before the Convention Centre. It lives green, quiet, and a touch upmarket — mostly houses with only a handful of condos, some beautiful properties tucked back in the hills, and a few more affordable places mixed in. Drive up and it feels a couple degrees cooler, pressed against the CMU campus and the forested lower slopes of Doi Suthep. The Center of the Universe saltwater pool is a local anchor.
